The next step

It is the end of March 2011 and we're wrapping up for the first quarter now, I realized I am somehow trapped in the comfort zone for awhile.

I'm doing this quick post while waiting for my client all because of Seth Godin. I subscribe to this daily dose of inspiration (yes, I learned a lot from him) since more than a year ago and I realized I have not been reading it for quite some time already. You see, this is the tricky part of feed subscription because you might have a big number of subscribers but ended up the real number of consumers for your content could be very little.

We're all forgetful creatures, and we always have too much on our plate until we forget what's the real agenda we're at any point of time.

Especially when things are going well. That's what Seth really meant, I suppose.

Everything seems to be pretty fine, projects are on track, clients are good paymasters, everything seem so perfectly smooth. I think that's very dangerous, because the easiness will make us lazy, and forget the real mission that we're taking on.

A few questions am asking myself (maybe you can do the same):

  1. What's next?
  2. Is there anything that I'm suppose to get done but not yet? (yes, i.e.: my e-book, and a few other projects)
  3. When was the last time you really analyze the development of your industry and do a skill-check on your own and your team?
  4. Have you been learning new stuff lately?

I think it is time to go back to the seeding part again.
